How to submit your articles to MND Kids

Editorial guidance:

Editorial rights: MND Kids reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, length, and accuracy, or to decline any submission without explanation. Accepted articles will be published under your first name, last initial, age education and country of residence will be included.  A photo is optional.

Who can submit: Any young writer with a story about Mexico.  It is the responsibility of the submitting school, parent or guardian to ensure compliance with applicable local laws regarding minors and online content of the respective country.

What we’re looking for:  Original articles written in English, Spanish, or both. Your story needs to be about Mexico and should be honest and fair.  Submissions must be the original work of the contributor and must not infringe on any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights

What to send us:

  • A finished article between 400 and 600 words
  • Your full name, age, grade/school level, and country
  • An optional photo (only if you own the photo or have permission to use it)

Submission process: We might make small edits to your article to fix clarity, length, or accuracy. We can also choose not to publish a submission without explanation. If we do publish your article, it will appear under your first name and last initial, along with your age, grade level, and country.

License and permission rights: By submitting, you (and/or your parent or guardian) are giving Mexico News Daily permission (or license) to publish, share, and edit your article on their website and other platforms — for free, forever, anywhere in the world. They won’t own your work, but they’ll have the right to use it.

Submission Terms:

Parental consent: Contributors under 16 must have a parent or legal guardian submit on their behalf, confirming they have read and agree to these terms. Submission by a parent or guardian constitutes their electronic acceptance of these terms on behalf of the minor.

COPPA Compliance: In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), MND Kids does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All submissions from contributors under 13 must be made by a verifiable parent or guardian.

Privacy: MND Kids does not store or share personal data from young contributors beyond what is necessary to process and publish accepted submissions. Published author information is limited to first name, last initial, age, education status, and country of residence.
