In Mexico City, about 50,000 fans of BTS, gathered at the Zócalo. This large crowd came to see BTS wave from a balcony at the National Palace. The band was joined by Claudia Sheinbaum, the President of Mexico City. Though BTS didn’t sing, fans were thrilled to see them and hear their greetings.
BTS member RM, also known as Kim Nam-joon, thanked the fans for coming. Another member, V (Kim Tae-hyung), spoke a little in Spanish, saying the band love Mexico. President Sheinbaum promised the band will come back in 2027 for more concerts.
Fans were eager to see BTS because their upcoming concerts sold out very quickly. Many people couldn’t get tickets, even though they tried hard online. The President even asked the South Korean President for help to get more concert dates. Some fans had to pay a lot for resale tickets, but seeing BTS at the Zócalo was an outstanding moment for many people there.
