Hi, I'm Travis

I first crossed into Mexico when I was a university student, right around the time a major trade agreement changed how North America worked. That semester in Guadalajara didn’t just teach me about a new country; it reshaped everything I thought I knew about my own future. I immediately fell for the people, the culture, the food, and the music. When the semester ended, the feeling didn’t stop – it gave me a new direction. Food, Family, and Fun—those three things kept pulling me back.

Over the next 30 years, my travels took me to more than 60 countries, but I always stayed connected to Mexico. When the pandemic changed everyone’s plans, my wife Tamanna and I decided to choose purpose over predictability. We moved to Mexico and acquired Mexico News Daily to build the kind of media company we wanted to read—one that tells the true story of a country we love. Our goal was simple: look beyond the usual scary headlines to tell the full story of a nation that is changing the world.
