Did you know that Batman has a new adventure, and it doesn’t happen in Gotham City? In a special comic book, Batman is now a hero in ancient Mexico! This story is called “Batman: The Brave and the Bold #5.” Instead of Bruce Wayne, the hero’s name is Yohualli Coatl, a young Aztec person who wants to protect his city, Tenochtitlán, just like Batman saves his own city.
Yohualli loses his parents, so he decides to fight against the bad people in his world. He learns from bats and even talks to the bat god Camazotz. He wears a cool new costume with feathers, gold, and Aztec patterns, and works with other heroes inspired by Aztec history.
The comic was made by artist Humberto Ramos and writer Marco Huerta from Mexico. They wanted Batman to look and feel like he’s part of ancient Mexican culture with special buildings and people from Aztec times.
Lots of kids in Mexico are excited to see Batman in their country’s history! This comic helps everyone see that heroes can come from any place or time — even from ancient Mexico!
