Taking care of what is important |
In Monterrey, there is a special robot dog called Waldog. He doesn’t bark, make messes, or need walks like real dogs. Instead, Waldog walks around the city to help people learn how to care for animals.
Waldog looks like a small beagle and has four metal legs. Inside, he has smart computers that help him move and talk. Kids and adults love seeing him because he is friendly and fun.
Senator Waldo Fernández created Waldog to teach people about being responsible pet owners. He spent $4,000 of his own money to buy Waldog and named him after himself. Waldog visits schools, parks, and neighborhoods to remind everyone of their responsibilities towards animal welfare.
Waldog can do lots of cool things. He can find trash and holes in the streets, look after stray dogs, and talk with people using a friendly voice. He even stands on his back legs! Waldog has his own Instagram and Facebook pages so people can follow his adventures.
Senator Waldo hopes Waldog will help build a caring community where everyone shows responsibility and uses technology to make life better for animals. Wherever Waldog goes, he makes new friends and spreads a message of kindness.
