In Mexico, an exciting contest is happening! President Claudia Sheinbaum is giving away her special ticket to the World Cup opening ceremony. But to win, young women aged 16 to 25 must show off their soccer skills. They need to juggle a soccer ball, which means keeping it in the air using only their feet, for one minute. The best juggler will get to attend the grand event in Mexico City on June 11.
President Sheinbaum wants a young woman to represent Mexico because she believes they are great role models. The winner will use her ticket, which is numbered 00001. Everybody else can watch the event together in Mexico City’s big central square, the Zócalo.
There is also some serious news. A Mexican man named Alberto Gutiérrez Reyes sadly died while in the U.S. The Mexican government is asking questions to find out what happened and is helping his family. They want to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
